Each time we are in the area we make a point of going to Rosebank on Sunday for the terrific African market. The place is loaded with interesting arts and crafts of contemporary design as well as antique objects. It's well worth a visit.

This market was very fun to go to. Beware that there are MANY MANY vendors. They also sell the same or very similar items. Make sure you bargain with them. I purchased several items, but these items seem to be at all "markets" and the prices are quite varied. If you intend to purchase quite a few items, I suggest... More

The African Craft Market in Rosebank, which is about 5kms/ 3 miles from Sandton City, is a mixture of African arts and crafts, foods, leather goods, clothing etc the vast majority of which is ' home made'. If you haven't been there before, and even if you have, definitely worth a visit.

The Rosebank craft market is the place to go for all things hand made in South Africa. There are over 100 but much of the offering is repeated stall after stall. Never accept the first price offered, this is the place to test your negotiation skills!

Perfect place to take home some awesome souvenirs. From jewelry, all the way to art work for your home. We ended up coming here after a few people recommended this place to us, and man the group and I were impressed. You can haggle, but hey this people are doing what they love and selling it. We ended up taking... More

The display was great! Strolling around and watching some of the artists at work was intriguing. Not sure about the prices. The mall closes about 6 pm so the whole Rosebank mall area is closed by 6.30 pm. Some restaurants were open.

Went looking for a few bits as gifts for family as well as something to remember my trip by. There is a wide variety of goods from small soapstone animals to large, detailed wooden masks. The market is a lovely way to spend an afternoon with a variety of food options a stones throw away. Stall owners can give you... More

This market has different stalls where you can purchase a vast array of African curios not only from South Africa. Some of the vendors are the actual sculptors or artists. Haggle as to the price as these are negotiable!! They prefer cash to credit cards.

this is a wonderful place to just take a stroll enjoy the artistic talents all around in a beautiful maze. take your time to go through but be careful not to quickly purchase before you are certain you have found thee gem you want to keep as you might find another amazing piece after you purchase something.
