South Africa is a developing country that still struggles in many aspects (politics, social, economics, culture etc). But, in Johannesburg, they have a very modern mass rapid transportation for its middle class. Although currently the line is still very limited, it is a very good start. We are amazed of how this Gautrain being managed and operated. Two thumbs up.... More

Travelled to Sandton from Centurion. The coaches were spotlessly clean, the trains were on time and personnel were friendly and helpful.

Definitely impressive! The airport service runs well to Sandton, I would just suggest whilst traveling to Rosebank and some other areas to be vigilant as there are undesirable thieves lurking always...

Quick, clean & efficient. Should have come to Gauteng years ago. I travel frequently between Sandton and Hatfield. Looking forward to the new extended routes.

South Africans can be proud of the service the Gautrain delivers. it is truly a world class service and commuters can depend on a timeous, reliable and hassle free commute to O.R Tambo International Airport. it is a speedy, clean and safe option and takes away doubt around Jo'burgs bumper to bumper freeways.

Aimed at the middel and upper class ppl. With the lower class ppl taking metro station running below some stations. Its clean and fast. Security guards must loose there "i am god here" syndrome. I saw at a few stations, not willing to assist ignore ppl when they are being approached, the one even rolled his eyes at an oncoming... More

Used the Gautrain for more than two years as means of travel to work and back. Very safe. Unfortunately it had 3 major delays that I can recall in those years - one was weather related, the second was cable theft and the third was a locomotive went down on a line. Use it for family trips to Sandton/Rosebank on... More

It works, is clean, safe and efficient. A great way to go from A to B if... 1) you live near the stations; 2) You do NOT start or finish at the airport and be more than 1. Yes that's right, if OR tombo is your destination or your start point and there are more than 2 of you going... More

Great to be able to leave on the train direct from the airport, which make you feel very safe. Train is very comfortable and fast. Staying at Radisson Gautrain we only had to cross the road from Sandton station to arrive at our hotel. Perfect
