All our stops were enlightening and thought provoking, helping us to understand this beautiful, complex, troubled city. You will gasp, cry, and laugh all in one day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and efficient. Lunch was a little pricey but you are putting money into an economy that really needs it, so just do it.

With a few hours remaining before my flight home from Johannesburg, I decided to go on one more tour. This turned out to be a great decision. While the street art is incredible, and worth every second of the tour, it was the experience of walking around a new part of town (Maboneng) and more than anything the tour guide that made it worth it. My guide, Kgothatso, was knowledgeable about the art, local vendors, the history of South Africa, you name it. The thing that stood out the most was how easy the conversation was, it truly felt like a walk around town with an old friend. I have already let Kgothi know that I will be utilizing him again on all future trips back to South Africa and I highly recommend that others do the same.

I had the pleasure of doing the walking street art tour on a Subday with Xolani or Nicholas ( his English name)
Fantastic 2 hrs spent safely exploring street art around Woodstock.
I had an issue getting to the meeting place and the Uber driver was concerned for my safety to drop me off.
I went into the Old biscuit Mill, felt very safe there and it was great 🙂 so have fed back maybe the meeting place could be more " public" and easier to find and Uber straight too. Esp as I am female traveling alone.
The art was saw was very impressive and Xolani explained alit about the area, the artists, and how things are always changing.... some new art just completed this week🙂
Great tour, highly recommended and would suggest a weekend, then you can combine the old biscuit mill too

Wow, I’m highly impressed with this tour company. Absolutely recommend. I was running behind and they coordinated meeting with me at a good spot to catchup. Then when I arrived, one of the women was having trouble with her phone and our tour guide, Nonhlanhla, was going above & beyond to help her. The tour was great; I learned so much and loved that our guide was a local from the area. She also arranged someone to visit the kids at an after school program. Just absolutely spectacular, thank you so much!!

Our family of four, with two teen agers, discovered Soweto guided by Mulalo and Thao. We truly enjoy all, from beginning to end. Very knowledgeable and entertaining guys, we had an incredible morning ending with and authentic Kota lunch and great, big and so cheap Black Label beer that we bought at a local shop close by and took with us to the lunch place.
Mulato is vey kind, well spoken and his passion shines through!
Out of all the tours we did in our week in South Africa (Kruger, Johannesburg and Cape Town) this walk without a doubt was the best and most enjoyable one.
Thanks both for a wonderful day!!

We had a wonderful time on this tour, I am South African and familiar with the history, but my boyfriend is Brazilian and he enjoyed learning more about Soweto. To top it off, our guide also spoke Portuguese so the exchange of questions and answers between the two made it even better for him.
Lunch was also delicious!!

We had a really nice time during the Street art tour. Xolani was very friendly and had good stories to tell, we had great conversations with him and the group. We didn't see the time go by and could have continued for long, there is so much to see and it was so interesting !
Thanks a lot,

I was amazed at how much I learned while on the Soweto tour! Welile is very knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable. He was patient and kind and I really loved how much he is known in the area. When he took us into the true Soweto we took a taxi bus and got the real deal experience. Made me so grateful to see the people of Soweto still thrive with resilience! May God bless Soweto’s people!

We did the BoKaap walking tour with Tarrin. It was a wonderful way to experience the city centre. Tarrin was super engaging and full of interesting little facts. We definitely would not have enjoyed or even appreciated the city centre and Bo kaap otherwise.
