We did the blue course which consists of two separate courses. It was challenging but it was so much of fun. When we paid at reception, we were not told about the glove hire so when we went to get harnessed, we were asked if we wanted gloves. We were told that it was not necessary to have gloves if we did not want but that the ropes can hurt. We didn’t end up hiring gloves but we managed the course without them, our hands were quite sore after so I would recommend using gloves. Our course leader was really helpful and the overall experience was great and very safe,

This is a fun outdoor activity for kids and adults too...of all ages. There a different levels (colour coded) depending the child's age or fitness level. The staff are very friendly and good with the kids. They are patient and helpful. This is a great outdoor adventure and a great place to entertain kids.

Took my 9 year old and 5 year old and they had so much fun even though they were nervous before starting. The staff are so energetic and very good with children. Actually, they were good with all the guests- helping out where needed and encouraging each person along the course. This was a great experience. I hope the other branches are just as good.

Acrobranch is a fun and exciting tree too expeience. However , the facility is poorly managed. Not sufficient guides at each course. It’s extremely oversubscribed which makes it dangerous.
We were beginners but the staff recommended us the hardest course which we paid for and ended up having to downgrade as the course is quite advanced.
By 3.30-4pm most guides had knocked off and there was only one member of staff on the grounds helping all the remaining customers on the various courses.
My expectation would be that each obstacle has a guide to ensure safety.

We came back after COVID and lock down. The place is really quite run down and I believe it’s becoming dangerous!
We had booked for 15 kids and asked to be there 11.10 for briefing in order to start 11.30. By 12.30 they started which comprises our plans for pick ups time to eat etc.
Staff is absolutely not interested in helping the kids. They mostly talked to each other and had very little interest in helping the kids. Not sure if they are understaffed or just disorganised. The group of 15 kids was scattered all over the place and many kids left alone in the treetops not knowing really how to go on with the parcours.
I am sure it’s a fun day out with the family but I don’t recommend for a party where they have to look after a group of 15 kids, they are not trained nor interested to do so.
A disappointment for the money you pay!

We held a boys birthday party at Acrobranch recently. They enjoyed it thoroughly! The facility was clean and well maintained.
On the downside the following points:
Booking was for a specific time, and they asked us to be there 30 minutes earlier. Upon arrival they were not yet ready for us. To management’s credit our time was extended by 30 minutes. While this was appreciated, it is time we could not use as we had to be elsewhere directly after the party. I also found it surprising that our indemnity forms were only asked for after our event.
All in all, a great venue and facility, with the admin around the experience to be improved. We’ll be back!

We really enjoyed our visit to Acrobranch. My sons enjoyed climbing around on the different obstacle courses they have in the trees.
The big zip line was an absolute hit with dad & the kids despite them being a little nervous. The boys enjoyed the other 4 zip lines but the big zip was the winner hands down.
Its a wonderful outdoor adventure that keeps everyone entertained for hours and well worth the price.
The staff were fantastic and have loads of patience with the kids, big and small.
Remember the park is a cash free zone so pay online when booking or take your bank card.
We will certainly be returning soon.

A great way to challenge yourself and experience something different. We did the red course (most difficult) and although we are in our 20s, we are not gym bunnies. We found it challenging in such a great way. We were able to complete the whole course with minimum assistance. For those who did need assistance it was readily available. Bring a picnic to have afterwards!

What is the safest way to get to this facility? We have heard that taxis can be risky. Thanks

Hi Jeanette
I would recommend Uber, we actually do have it is SA and it does work very well. The address is James and Ethol Grey park, Melrose.
Uber also have a cash facility if your bank card does not work, trust this answers your question, I do not recommend a taxi as it can be dangerous
Regards Rob
