The Soweto tour was a major highlight during our trip to Joburg. Our tour guide Norman did an amazing job describing the history of Soweto and providing the background information needed to understand the current situation. By providing a glimpse into the upper, middle, and lower classes of the township, it gave a more complete understanding of the impact of apartheid. I particularly appreciated that Norman connected us with a local teenager in the lower class part to see firsthand what life is like for those people. During the visit to Nelson Mandela's house and other stops, he was great at answering questions and always made sure to check in on us to ensure we have the best experience. Overall would really recommend learning about townships through this informative tour.

Norman was very good and knowledgeable. For our family with kids we needed someone that was flexible and understanding. The travel was comfortable and smooth. The event was very memorable and our kids enjoyed the 2 hours of horseback riding. We saw giraffes so close!!!

I was picked up promptly at the appointed time at my hotel by my driver whose name is Norman. He went he was a very good driver and we had a lot of fun chatting while we were driving to and from this activity. It's just a short time I feel like we became friends. Then my guide at the horse Safari was named Blessing. He took it nice and slow for me and even when my phone fell out of my pocket we went back and he found it. He stopped by many of the animals and took my picture with them in the background. Especially the giraffe is giraffe and even the ostrich. The ride was easy but since I hadn't been on the horse very long 2 hours was just about you now..If you want to get up close to the animals this is the trip you want to take.

We had an interesting and entertaining time with our guide Norman. He could tell us a lot of things about Johannesburg and Soweto. We visited all the milestones of Soweto's role in the struggle against Apartheid. Before booking we thought that we would spend more time in an actual township. We found this to be the most impressive part. Maybe there's a chance to make more out of that. Would do it again! 😊
