We had the pleasure of taking a 2-day excursion with Nhlalala Travels. Norman was our guide.

On the first day we covered the Panorama Route (Three Rondavels, Berlin Falls & Graskop Swing/Zipline) starting from Johannesburg where we were picked up in a sedan. Norman ensured that our trip was smooth and we enjoyed a lot on this journey. He also provided provided us with insights on the history & culture of the places. He was very resourceful with the logistics and helpful throughout the trip and went above and beyond what was expected of him on occasions.

On the second day we did a Kruger safari around Skukuza. We were picked up early in the morning and reached the gates when they opened. Initially I was skeptical of having to do it in a sedan but Norman ensured that it did not come in the way of the amazing Kruger experience. We saw Hyenas, Elephants, Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Warthog, Baboons, Hippo, Steenbok, Kudu, Nyala & not to mention the varieties of birds. We were also extremely lucky to see 2 male Giraffes sparring and striking each other literally next to the road. We also visited couple of vantage points and bird hides. Norman was very flexible with the route and adjusted it to our liking.

I would highly recommend Nhlalala Travel and Norman for any Panorama or Kruger related trips. I wish him all the best and hope to see him again in future.

One of our favorite parts of our travel was the 2 ladies who were our guides - Zandi drove us safely through the streets and highways while Sindi gave us an oral history lesson on the sites and different cultures of South Africa and Johannesburg. My advise is don't try to navigate your way through the city on your own. There is too much to take in. Secure a guide, preferably Zandi and Sindi who were AWESOME! During the ride from the airport, we discussed our desire to go on a safari (✓), visit Mandela and Tu Tu's homes (✓), and other sites of interests never expecting we would learn so much of the rich history of Jo'burg (the museums are NOT to be missed). From arrival to departure at Tambo airport, the ladies were attentive to our needs, gracious, full of fun and laughter and will always remain in our hearts !

A " must to see". Thank you, thank you the Stallings. We are happy for this review especially when the two ladies, the ambassadors, employed their characters to make it into their hearts. All best wishes wherever you are.

We started with a safari tour (2 day 1 night in Pilanesberg) and it was really amazing experiences as far as the park is concerned. The game drives were wonderful and we edge really lucky with the weather.
We had an issue initially as the tour planned closed vehicle drive in the morning of day 2 and it was not clear to us that it’s the same van we drove in - which was while comfy really not that great for a game drive, eg. windows didn’t open properly. But with some negotiation with our guide Norman we managed to switch up the plans and find fitting solution to everything which was greatly appreciated from our whole group.
After such a great experience we planned other 2 tours with Norman in Johannesburg (Soweto and the city tour) after which we were dropped at the airport.

Norman was the perfect guide for our three day Kruger National Park tour. He took care of us from beginning to end. He picked us up from the hotel in Johannesburg in the morning and we enjoyed our drive talking to Norman. He is very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. We made stops along the long drive to break it up. We got near the park and Norman had arranged beautiful accommodations for us for two nights. We had a game drive that evening and an all day safari game drive the next day. I had a knee injury but Norman made sure I was comfortable during the whole three day tour. We saw so many animals, the drivers there are very knowledgeable and go out of their to show you as much as possible. On the third day we came back using the scenic drive with two stops along the way with beautiful views. Norman brought us back to the hotel safely. I felt well taken care and I highly recommend having Norman as a guide, you won’t regret it.

Thank you Dipki family for such a review. Though we find it our main responsibility to ensure the tour run smoothly and safe, it is our pleasure to learn your safari moment with Norman was of a high standard. All best wishes back home.

Amazing doesn’t even do Norman justice. I travelled solo and I was looking for more of a cultural tour. Nhlalala created an amazing one night culture and nature tour for me. Starting from Joburg we made our way to Kruger, on the way we stopped in a small village for some traditional food which was really lovely. Tourists never really pass through that village so that was such a unique experience. We then stopped over at a traditional healer before we made our way to Kruger. After Kruger we went to a locals home for some traditional food. It was sooo amazing to feel like I was part of the culture. After that we spent a night in Hazyview and then went on our nature trip the next morning.

Norman was such a nice phenomenal guide and I really appreciated our tour.

We took the half day tour to the cradle of human kind. The planned caves were closed but Norman arranged an excellent replacement. Our guides Khongi and Bongani were excellent. Very knowledgable and good fun. Would definitely use them again.

An amazing experience. Well planned and very educative. The combination of culture, wildlife and heritage gave me a complete beautiful experience of South Africa. Norman, my tour guide was great and knowledgeable . He ensured i was okay and safe all the way through the tour. He was nice, polite and always ready to lend a helping hand. I would use him again for my next tour . I would recommend the safari cars at Pilanesberg National Park is used for the wildlife experience. Overall it was an experience am looking forward to doing it again with my family.

I highly recommend this tour.
Norman, my guide for the day, came to the hotel to pick me up. We drove to the Apartheid museum where he left me inside to explore. 2.5 hours later we met outside and were on our way to Soweto.
Touring the various neighborhoods in Soweto gave me a great overall view of the area. We stopped at the Hector Peterson memorial and then at the Mandela house.
At the end, Norman drove me back to the hotel.
Norman was a very charming guide and very knowledgeable of the history of the area.

Norman Mlambo is kind, warm and insightful. He shepherded our group through the Apartheid Museum, everyday sites in Soweto (areas typical of different income classes), the Mandela House, lunch, and the Constitutional Court back in Joburg. Thoughtful responses to questions, informative presentations. He also got us to the airport with plenty of time to spare, having planned for traffic that for once did not materialize. One piece of guidance on this particular itinerary: get going early! The Apartheid Museum really requires at least 3-4 hours and we had a little less than two ... we were rushing through the second half which is the most important and absorbing portion, and could have stayed far longer. All our fault for getting started late. We had business colleagues, my teenage daughter and her grandfather -- tour was good for all.
