About
Experience one of the most historic townships in Johannesburg, SOWETO! Driven by luxury vehicles and guided by young man born and raised in Soweto. We specialize in small groups to give our clients a Safe, Bespoke, Authentic and Personalised “Local” experience. Part of the tour is a visit to the first black residential district in Soweto, Kliptown, first laid out in 1891 on land which formed part of Klipspruit farm. From 1903 the area was home to informal settlements (squatter camps), and the area now contains a mixture of purpose-built housing and a large number of shacks and other informal homes.

Have traveled to South Africa many time over the last 30 years working in the travel industry. When visiting recently to share this wonderful country with my 3 adult daughters this tour was a highlight. Guide was informative and enthusiastic and the experience was unforgettable. Felt safe and welcome the whole time. A must do on your next visit to Johannesburg

Took an amazing half-day tour of Soweto. Thabo and Kim were amazing guides - they took great care of me. Very attentive, considerate and helpful. It was a real eye opener - fascinating and interesting. Would highly recommend KND.

We used knd for our airport transfers and for a soweto tour.
The tour was fab, and our guide was amazingly knowledgeable about all areas of south africa history (and many other things too).
All airport transfers were reliable and on time in good quality clean vehicles.
Highly reccomend!

For a month, we had the pleasure of KDN Tours provide a shuttle service when we were doing the History Makers Apprentice. These guys are absolutely awesome. From the drivers giving us small pep talk when we were nervous about our Board Meetings, to celebrating with us when we achieved. They practically felt like family. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting exceptional service!

We had Delone as a tour guy and as he had promised, it was a memorable tour. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. His knowledge about not only Soweto, bu also the surroundings on our way to Soweto was fantastic. We booked a half day tour and went on a Sunday.
