More
Cheetah Experience is a registered non-profit endangered species breeding centre in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Our Mission is to raise awareness of the vulnerability of South African species and other endangered species through educational experiences, as well as ethically breeding cheetahs in captivity. We are home to a number of endangered and threatened species, including cheetahs, leopards, male lions, servals, caracals, African wildcats, wolves, meerkats and a Siberian tiger. Our project takes in rescued animals from the local area, so we also have various animals from time to time, including a goat and antelope. We offer visitors a once in a lifetime opportunity to come on an educational tour and learn about our animals, see them up close, take some amazing photos, and learn how you can join us in the fight to protect these precious species. We offer a Volunteer and Internship Program, which has seen over 750 hard-working, dedicated people from 29 countries come and be a special part of the Cheetah Experience Global Volunteer Family, and contribute to conservation in South Africa.

The project is a big cat breeding programme with focus on the cheetah, but also caracal, serval and leopard. As a non-profit organisation, it relies on donations and visitor numbers to achieve its aims.

At the end of a bumpy gravel road, you can hear the roaring of the adult male Lions, and the howling of the 2 Canadian Wolf sisters. The birds are chirping away in the trees as a wave of serenity washes over you. For a...More

Volunteering here is an unforgettable experience. After completing daily chores and tasks the volunteers get to spend quality time with the animals. (Cheetahs, leopards, caracals, servals, wolves, etc) The best thing about this project, is that interaction is determined by each individual animal. It's completely...More
