Living a couple of weeks together with cheetahs, leopards, lions, servals, etc. will definitely change your way of viewing these unique creatures: you will learn that respect and admiration are the keywords. And as a volunteer at Cheetah Experience, you can live every day this unique feeling. And for the visitors to Cheetah Experience, you will feel the passion of... More

I have just returned from my second stay as a volunteer at Cheetah Experience. Cheetah Experience offers an international volunteer program, allowing volunteers from all over the world to live and work on site for as short as two weeks up to multiple months. As a volunteer, from the first day on you will work hands-on with a lot of... More

During our S. Africa visit to the various wine regions, we stopped here to donate some $$ to help with the preservation of the wild cats as well as being fortunate to get a few closely supervised pets in. Cheetah fur is surprisingly course while caracol (bad spelling) fur is sooo soft. This rescue should charge much more for the... More

I recently just came back from volunteering at Cheetah Experience for a month. It was one of the best month's of my life. Not only do you get hands on up close with a lot of the animals, you see how much they are loved and how well they are treated and looked after by the permanent staff who work... More

Getting there is almost a safari in its own right - the roads are quite rough. We went on the 80ZAR tour (£6), the more expensive tour simply adds extensive petting time. First stop (after the alien tiger) was a 'wild cat' that looked like a domestic moggy so we thought we'd been sold a pup, but we did then... More

We spend a full day as part of the "volunteer day" experience in February 2017. It was amazing! All animals were subject to great cares including tidy areas. We could enter most cages and interact with them, which included the cheetah, but also the serval cats, the leopard cubs, the wolves and caracals! The volunteers were friendly and available during... They weren't very welcoming. One of the cages didn't look like it was appropriate for the animal. It was really small

We were on the 3pm tour. This had its good and bad points. The animals were all out and about despite the rain that had occurred earlier in the afternoon and the fact that it started again while we were mid way through. They were ready for dinner and so (coupled with the rain) made them a little aggitated. This... More

Cheetah Experience is definitely a place you should visit. My daughter and I had the pleasure of going into the enclosure with two of the cheetahs and despite not being able to touch them, we were just mesmerized at being just a few steps from them and seeing them so up close and in their personal space. The rest of... More
