Amazing hiking trails, mountains and a beautiful campsite 🙌 I really enjoyed my time there BUT there is a main road next to the campsite which is noisy and you can expect extremely cold weather in winter months 🙈

What a lovely spot with gentle scenery that brings a sense of peace and calm to a person. Yet there are rugged limestone outcroppings that are great to photograph. We saw 6 zebras and one lonesome wildebeest. No vultures at the vulture lookout point at noon. The hotel and campgrounds are neat as a pin and there is a good... More

Did the Wodehouse trial as well as the Brandwacth trial. both were beautiful and it was a luxury to be staying at the Golden Gate self catering chalets, straight from the hike into a lovely shower. it could'nt get better.

Golden Gate National Park remains one of the most scenic parks in South Africa! The mountains are breathtaking, with the famous Brandwag buttress. The wildlife is in abundance and there is beautiful walking trails. Golden Gate is a must to visit.

Love the scenery and the mountains but saw very little game. It is free to enter. The roads are full of potholes and I did not feel very safe on the road. You can stay over in a small camp and their is also camping facilities. A lot of hikes one can do which is what I would do on... More

Visited one of my favorite spots in the country this past weekend. Lovelier than ever, and food for my soul. The facilities are well-kept as always, clean and tidy. Camping site well maintained and ample lush lawns and shade. The hikes were awesome as always. One thing that upset me, though, is the amount of graffiti scratched into the beautiful... More

We recently did the Echo Ravine Walk with a mixed group that included some very young and very old walkers. The path was well maintained and everyone managed without any problems. The restrooms at the start are nice and clean and there is also a small shop and bottle store which was handy. The views in the area are truly... More

You do not have to pay if you are just driving through this park and, if that is all you have time for, you will still experience the stunning rock formations from the road. I have to be honest and say we did not find the staff at Glen Reenen rest camp terribly helpful or well informed. We went to... More

Stayed overnight in the Highland Retreat Mountain resort, a SANPARKS resort. This site is accessible by all makes of vehicle, for even though the road is very windy and the accommodation is near the summit of the mountain range, there are two concrete strips the whole way Very romantic self catering units that are private one from another. Problem only... More

The outcrops of rock just take your breath away! The drive from Clarens to the park is just so scenic that you can't stop taking pics!!! The roads are great inside the park and the scenery is out of this world. Wish we'd packed a picnic and spent more time inside.
