Must see, if you are in the area
Jan 2020
We just had one hour for this museum, but you really need two hours. Most of it I knew already, but it still gave me some more insights in the life of Mandela and the apartheid struggle. It is a must see, if you are in the area. We could park our car with all our belongings in front of the museum and the museum guard was willing to watch it.

We were very disappointed as we had chosen to stay in the town so we could have time to see the museum. It s currently closed for renovations and there is no set date to reopen

A Long Walk with Nelson Mandela
Jul 2019 • Family
An interesting visit to the museum. All information already public knowledge.
However, I would strongly recommend a visit to revive your patriotism.
Activity to maximum of 2 hours.

Disappointed
Mar 2018 • Business
Nelson Mandela was such a great person and that's how you present him. Disappointing!
After the run down place at Qunu I expected after years of renovating something special.
The rooms to view the pictures are far too small. there are three security gates and the constantly make a peeping sound. One gate ok but the others????
No safe parking around the museum.
Why is there not even a postcard sold with Nelson Mandela on it, or his books, or books about him? Things to remember him and your visit at here?????

Nelson Mandela Capture Site is a pleasure, but this????

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT NELSON MANDELA
Oct 2017 • Solo
Visited the museum in Mthatha ( heard from staff there that the museum at QUNU is almost the same ) and naturally it has complete info on the great man ( with audio / video showings with old photos etc ). Staff is so so knowledgeable and did not recognise / identify people in some of the old photos displayed....
