When ever I ask my daughter where she would to to visit in Port Elizabeth Holmeliegh Farm is always her first choice, she adores it there, and I also love it there to, all the animals look very happy and very well looked after, there's lots play areas to keep kids busy playing, and there are some spectacular views of the surrounding country side there to.
Horse and tractor rides are great, and there is a lovely gift shop there with lots of great things to buy,I recommend the bottles of homemade Chilli sauce there as it's some of the finest I have ever tasted.
It really is a wonderful place so if in Port Elizabeth make sure you go there if possible.

Our grandchildren so enjoyed their visit to Homeleigh Farm, which is specifically geared for little ones to learn more about farm animals, first hand. Parents are given the necessary info about each sort of animal and their feeding preferences so that the parents can guide their children. There is also a well equipped selection of apparatus normally found in childrens' play areas, whilst over holidays and weekends, it is possible to go for pony rides and tractor rides.
The one let down is the very basic cafe... now if this were to be upgraded, it would be a winner for all members of the family.

Hands down the kiddies love this place.

Theres so much for them to do and the tractor rides especially are the most fun for them and of course feeding the animals.

Maybe it just needs to be jazzed up abit?

The state of this place and animals have gone to the fall literally.

R120 for entry and a bucket of food to feed their animals or what is left of them.

So heart broken 💔 to see the Homeleigh Farmyard in the state it is in, though animals must be having a hard life there at the moment.

We love taking the kids to go feed the animals. There is not much to do for the adults, but my kids love going there. They love the free space and playing around. The food shop is a plus not having to drive to another destination to go and eat. Its a great family outing.

Spent my birthday here(and I am 22 - not a child any more) was so much fun and really cheap. R25pp with a bucket of pellets and corn for only R10. Really a bargain. Animals look happy and enjoy the attentions. The donkeys were my favorite! Could easily spend the whole day here, the food is super cheap! Definitely a gem.

A must if you have small children.

Enjoy a half day out in nature and experience animals well behaved.

You may feed and touch the animals and there is also a play park for the children and Donkey cart rides.

You may even host your child's next birthday part at Homeleigh Farmyard.

Enjoy a light lunch with some hot and/or cold drinks available from the shop or buy a gift for a friend from the curios shop.

What an experienced. I grew up on a farm and being a busy city girl, you miss those times on the farm. If you feel like that and would like to relive those days this is for you. Bring the kids, grandpa, grandma, you know bring everyone. There is smiley faces everywhere from the entrance to the tea garden, even the animals are smiling. I do feel it can be better but to introduce small kids growing up in the fast pace we live in to animals that can be touched is the best experience. To show them that milk comes from a cow and how it's done is amazing as most of them think milk comes from the shop. If you need to break away for an hour and be a kid again go do this I found my inner child and missing the farm life.

I've been to Holmeleigh Farmyard many times; when I was a child and now that I have nephews. Its a great place to take kids. They get to feed sheep and goats (among other animals), pet rabbits and ride horses. There is ample space for running and playing. It is great for hosting kids parties, especially since they can host more than one at a time. The food on offer is basic, but delicious.

Often take my grandchildren out there to visit and feed the animals, and of course never leave without having something nice to eat and a ride on the tractor and trailer. Love to visit as often as we can.
