My four-year-old and I spent 3 hours here.
Extensive playground and seating areas, tractor rides, pony rides, animal touch farm.
Lovely concept - but the animals need improved living quarters, care, and grooming.

Great for Kids
Dec 2019 • Family
R30 per person and kids under 2 years old for free. You can purchase animal feed for R10 per small bucket. Place is a little bit run down, BUT the kids loved it. Happy Kids - Happy Parents.

Sadly we couldn't do the tractor ride as there must be 10 plus ppl. Not easy to explain that part to a 2 year old. We decided to do a light lunch. Very basic menu (which I prefer), affordable and we got more than expected. Great outing for kids. Spending time with light lunch.... around 2.5 hours.

Terrible experience
Dec 2019 • Family
Would never go here again nor recommend it to anyone. The welfare of the animals are clearly not a priority for the owners. The cages are way too small for some animals, very dirty and some animals looked very ill. When I mentioned this to the owner she laughed in my face. Completely unacceptable and very unprofessional.

My kids love Holmeleigh Farmyard, we've been many times and it never gets old. The toasted sandwiches are always a hit.

GREAT AFTERNOON'S ENTERTAINMENT
Apr 2019 • Family
Been a few years since our last visit but as always our Grand Daughters had an amazing time interacting with a wide range of animals.
Great fun was had by all and we can thoroughly recommend as a place to take your kids, grandkids to have a great time of being entertained.
Money well spent.

Always good for a fun time with the kids

My nephew really enjoyed the trip, not only was it educational, but he got his money's worth when climbing and running around on the various structures. The business model is also great, analyse it and you will see brilliance! It's a win-win for kids and adults alike.

Fun for all

Brought a whole bunch of children to Holmeleigh Farmyard as a day out. Great service from the booking stage to the morning at Holmeleigh. The children loved it and us adults enjoyed it as well. Saw a lot of different farm animals and the kids got to feed most of them. They also enjoyed a tractor ride and they have a wonderful playground where the children spent a lot of time after lunch. We could hardly get them to leave when our transport arrived. We had ordered a hotdog, chips and juice lunch for the children and coffee/tea and cake for the adults. Do you know - coffee and cake meant we could choose from a lot of different cakes and toasties?! For not very mucc!!! Incredible! The little shop was also very nice and I ended up buying a couple of things of course. A wonderful time was had by all and will be remembered. I will certainly keep Holmeleligh Farmyard on my list of outings for the future as well. :-)

A little sad and shabby
Feb 2019 • Family
Holmeleigh seemed a little past its prime when we visited mid-week.
I’d suggest taking the Kragga Kammer road out from PE we came off the N2 and had a bit of dirt road to navigate.

Everything needs a paint and a clean.
But the kids loved the bus, tractor trainer and many jungle gyms to climb on.
No tractor rides (requires 10 children) or pony rides available.
No cow milking scheduled. Perhaps the weekend is a better time to visit.
We still paid full price for the touch farm - R30 per adult.
Animals all looked quite stressed but their pens were clean.
Again, the kids loved it. It was just the grown ups hearts that felt a little saddened.
