We were fortunate and in one trip we saw six humpback whales, as well as seals and penguins.

We didn’t see any dolphins, as there was likely orcas in the bay which had scared them off that day. Just a bit of bad luck, and seeing the humpback whales more than made up for it.

This is a must do experience if you’re in the eastern cape

Such a fantastic experience. Raggy charters are very good at what they do. From the enquiry/booking stage to the actual cruise, it's such a pleasant experience.

We were fortunate that the day we booked for had good weather and sea conditions, as Port Elizabeth had just experienced some terrible storms. Out on the water it really is cold though so one must be prepared.

There is always the risk that you may not see any marine life on the cruise but thankfully we were fortunate.

We saw lots and lots of dolphins. It was jaw dropping to see them in the hundreds, so close to the boat. Absolutely wondrous to see.

Whales and seals were also spotted and also the exciting rare sighting of an offshore dolphin, which is not usually seen in these waters.

We managed to spot a penguin or two but alas they were not smiling and waving at us en masse from the island rocks. I'm hoping for that the next time I go :)

Many thanks to Karen for handling the bookings, to Purity for her effervescence and enthusiasm while guiding and to Uncle Keith the skipper.

Worth every penny! Not only is the tour amazing, the guides are so knowledgeable and friendly, but the project actually helps preserve the area and these animals. I was so happy to know that some our money goes to save the wildlife, and the small team work so hard to achieve amazing things. Highly recommend!

Spent a great four hours on the Whale, Dolphin and St Croix tour. It was off season for migrating whales but the crew found plenty of the local Bride whales for us to enjoy. Captain Jack explained that the tours fund the conservation work done by the organisation, freeing them from any obligations to sponsors. What a great synergy!
We spotted some penguins on the island. It has only been a few years since the island was designated a protected area and the penguin population is still struggling to grow.
We were very fortunate to spend time watching a pod of over 400 dolphin relaxing near the shore- rare treat to be sure!
Throughout the tour our guides provided insights into the animals and habitat. There were several guides who made sure guest in all parts of the boat had a chance to hear. The pace was relaxed and we still managed to cover the large area, including watching seals trying to hop up onto the rudder of an anchored ship.

Absolutely fantastic story behind the business. Lloyd and Purity took us out on what we thought would be a timed and tick box cruise but it turned out to be an adventure with wales and dolphins galore! These guys absolutely love what they do and have a wealth of knowledge. Absolutely enjoyed the cruise.

Getting to drive among the dolphin pod was amazing! Hopefully, the penguin population stabilizes, because they were cute! Tuba was so informative! Thanks so much!
