We visited four game preserves, and this was by FAR our favorite. Here's why:
Our guide (she was a young British lady - wish I could recall her name!) was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the animals, the history, the terrain... clearly she was passionate about her field! Also this is a very large preserve, so we were able to see so many animals, including elephants, giraffe, and lions! The tour vehicle was in good condition (compared to others we were on!) and we while it was still "rustic" and "authentic," it was not so jarring as to be uncomfortable. Truly if you can only visit one, make it this game drive. It was our very best!

Me and my 2 aunties stayed here in February for 3 nights. We flew from Cape Town to port Elizabeth. This was my first time in South Africa and Kwantu as a whole made my experience a very special one. We stayed in the main hotel building our rooms were out of this world, the facilities were fantastic as was the food massive applause to chef. Massive shout out to Wallen, Musa & Zaza yous made our trip extra special and nothing was to much to ask as for the rest of those who work at Kwantu yous were all BRILLIANT 🤩. Also a massive shout out to Innocent our ranger who took us all over the land at Kwantu allowing us to see the big 5 which was one of my bucket list tasks so that is a ✅. We hope to return to Kwantu in the future for another 5 start experience. Thank you again.

Rooms were very nice and game drives were worth it. Games room can be updated with new equipment. Halaal and vegetarian food available but can be improved in standard. Prayer facilities available which is convenient for Muslim clients.

5 star accommodation and service without a doubt. We stayed in the bush lodges near the waterhole. The rooms were spectacular as was the views as well as the staff. Being in the lodges away from the hotel is not a problem as the drivers are always around to take you back and forth. There are 3 game drives per day. We managed to see all the animals including lions, elephants and rhino's, wildebeest, giraffes and various bucks. The rangers were informative and entertaining. The food in particular was excellent and the reserve makes sure that you never go hungry. There are lions being bred in captivity as well and a fabulous game room for younger kids as well as a huge swimming pool.
Thank you kwantu for providing us with good accommodation and halal food.
