If you have the funds for it, definitely take the guided tour (we walked past a group and they were given so much information and allowed inside the enclosures).
It was just as amazing to walk through park and see all the animals. Along the wolfdog enclosures you can find lots of boards filled with fun facts about the animals themselves and their habits.
Make sure to buy packets of food that you can distribute to the "petting zoo" animals. They were all so friendly and allowed you to pet them once you gave them some food. My favorite was the alpacas and the goats.
Definitely more relaxed than some of the other activities in the surrounding area, but nonetheless fun.

Run largely as a rescue facility, they have a lot of wolves and wolf/dog crossbreeds. The guided tour is well worthwhile - you get to go in with those animals that enjoy human contact, and they're delighted to spend time with you. Equally, you can get as close to the wolves as they will permit - which might not be all that close! The staff are obviously very knowledgeable and caring about their animals, and will really take their time with you. Recommended.

This is a bit of a hidden gem. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon and were the only guests- which added positively to the experience. You can walk on your own and It’s a very relaxing experience. It’s amazing to see the wolves although a bit unsettling when they were tracking our 5 year old. I think they thought easy prey... It was loads of fun visiting and feeding the farm animals. We would definitely recommend a stop here.

This was an exceptionally over priced experience. Compared to everything we did in surrounding area and then later while visiting outskirts of oudshoorn. Every other encounter was worth the money. We spent close to R600 for 2 adults and 2 kids to see wolves who mainly looked like huskies and some farm animals. Very disappointing.
Should not have cost more than R200.

We were left with an overwhelming sense of despair after our visit to this "sanctuary". We only viewed the wolf and wolfdog areas but they were so depressing. Unkempt with vividly green water ponds and no fresh water in sight. The manager/owner walked into one fenced area with a crisp packet of cheese puffs and fed these to the wolves whilst overseeing some workmen. I was outraged! The few staff members who walked by elicited a frenzied response from the wolves who were obviously awaiting food. We hurried from there. It was a horrible experience. I'm an ardent supporter of all initiatives that protect wild life but I will not recommend this sanctuary to anyone.

I did not enjoy this experience. I think it is very pricey for what you get. Having been to almost all the sanctuaries in the area this was far below par. The place is untidy and run down. There is a petting zoo with the pigs, bunnies, llamas, goats etc. Please be aware the young kids (my daughter is 13 and shortish) cannot do the wolf tour as there is a height restriction.

Came in 2020. Gave an excellent rating.Today tour cancelled cos of rain barely spitting. No interest from receptionist whether a tour would happen if it dried up. The whole point of a sanctuary is to explain the animal journey. Without a guide or information board the animal looks bored. Very disappointed

I have visited some years before and remember it being better that it is now. We were charge a separate fee for entrance and another for the tour which we found strange. They opened and the first tour would only have been at I think 11 so we ended up paying for it but not waiting until then. The farm animals were fun but the wolves seemed neglected and you get the feeling that the establishment isn't really a priority for the owners .

Truly disappointed.
Basically an animal farmyard where you could feed the animals and view some sad looking caged wolves at the the back. Zero interaction with the wolves. Also no petting area to fully interact with the farm animals. Only feeding them through the fences.
Totally overpriced and also false advertising as the wolves are not the maim focus because you can’t even be near them.

The entrance fee is not worth visiting this place. It’s more of an animal farm where kids can feed goats etc. Barely saw any wolves and the ones we did see look sad. The cages looked very small and it did not feel like a sanctuary at all. These animals should rather be left free in the wild.
