About
The same care bestowed on the vineyards is given to Newstead’s culinary offering. Lunches served on the veranda feature seasonal produce, most of it grown on the farm. Today, a salad of fennel, radish and figs, shaved Parma ham and Parmesan, topped with a dressing made with honey produced in the next-door lavender field, is star of the show. Tomorrow it may be shoulder of pork slow-roasted with chilly and ginger and served with spring onion pancakes or slow roasted wood fired spicy chicken. Home-grown macadamias and apples from the Newstead orchard are used in an assortment of bakes and the vegetable garden’s fragrant tomatoes shine on artisanal wood fired pizzas. Delicious desserts. Limited quantities of artisan food is prepared daily. Enjoy winning wines & bubbles & infused craft cocktails in the vineyard Bubble&gin bar.

Although we booked lunch here, in fact we enjoyed a wine tasting and bread platter instead, seated in one of the nooks in the garden (having to asked to move from the initial table we were given which was not in a great location, seems the locals knew to book the best ones but as visitors we were left with the not-sos). Interesting wines

I would highly recommend a visit to the wine farm. Restaurant is well run. Food that is served is of a high quality. Staff are good and helpful. Manageress Susan is constantly checking and runs a good operation. Will certainly visit on my next trip to Plettenberg Bay.

The setting was beautiful and the wine was very good.
I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant thou. The food portions were very small for the price paid and the waiter was not helpful.
The timing of the food coming out the kitchen was terrible. All the food came out and different times.

Set in the midst of their vineyard
This wine estate provides tranquil peaceful atmosphere and excellent, if not the best MCC sparkling wine.
I would recommend the Rosé one, which is out of this world.
Their pizzas concept is ideal and of a good quality.
I would recommend the owners to
Add few more items on their menu,
Which will make it a bit more interesting.
A well deserved destination if you are visiting plettenburg bay.

Very disappointed. No one welcomed us. We seated ourselves and waited very long for service. Heard alot about their prize winning sparkling wine so we opted for a tasting. Tasted four wines but the wines were not fresh, were clearly a few days old and kept in the fridge. The sparkling wine didn't have bubbles in which also indicates that the bottle had been open for a while. We left and went to Bramon across the road and had an awesome unpretentious afternoon.

Everything about this estate was absolutely perfect beginning to end. Staff were friendly and welcoming, food fresh and divine. We ordered the salmon pate to start, stunning thin crusted, light pizzas with fresh rocket and scones & chocolate cake for dessert. Wine tasting beautifully presented. Very stylish venue, super cute resident pooch. My pics don’t do this meal any justice!

Beautiful winery, with nice patio and terrace. Since I don’t drink, didn’t taste the wine but the food was very delicious especially cheese and salads made of fresh ingredients. They have great staff, always with a smile on their face, explaining each and every detail of the area and what they have on offer. Great place to have a casual meal with some authentic South African wine. A must visit if you are in Plettenberg Bay Area!

We visited this winery yesterday and it was the most amazing experience . The menu was more comprehensive since the last time we visited a couple of years ago. Our friends chose the chicken and it was so delicious that they didn't want it to end !
I had the salmon pate and Melon with Parma ham and a delicious salad.
The prices are very reasonable and the wine is first class . We chose the Savanoir blanc at only R 125 a bottle.
It is in a beautiful setting and the staff were realiy lovely very attentive. VWe will. certainly go again. Do not miss a dining experience of a lifetime,
.Suggest you book rather than be disappointed.

We arrived here after being disappointed at Packwood Wine Farm where they were wanting to charge the extortionate price of R75 pp for wine tasting and R250 for a cheese platter.
We had a fabulous welcomed by the lady owner (I think ) and then Happy (perfect name for this lovely young man) was our host for the wine tasting and also our waiter for our lunch .
The Rose bubbly was nice and the Sauvignon sublime. We had the most fabulous platter lunch of salmon pate with beetroot and goats cheese salad for a great price.
The only downside was that there was no refund of the wine tasting charge if you bought a bottle of wine.
