We spotted this old timber shed when driving around in town. It's open for the public and only take 5 minutes to look around the beautiful piece of history.

Such rich history of this site, dating back over 300 years. It is just too bad that it has gone to waste. It could be turned into a nice tourist attraction for history buffs.

I mean, what can I say, it's a timber she'd that broke down... Its cool for photos, but it really has nothing interesting to do, or look at, as I said, it's just a timber shed.

We usually drive past this site and never stop, but for some reason we did this time and so glad we did. A beautiful historical site.

The ruins of the old wood shed are in desperate need of some attention. It would be amazing to have a fence erected and an info board put up. Still well worth a visit as it ties into the history of Plettenberg Bay.

In most countries this would be a well looked after and cherished monument to the past. Sadly it looks fairly neglected despite its unique contribution to establishing commerce and therefore prosperity in Plett. Pletts oldest building I understand and well worth looking up its history....More

The remains of these buildings are close to the Lookout Deck and Equinox Restaurants and at the moment there is little to see apart from old stone walls. However, I understand there is a programme planned to restore Plett's old monuments so hopefully more will...More

Part of the walls are still standing. It will give you a good impression of how it must have been. Outside you'll find an old canon and anchor. Unclear if it is connected to the shed. Unfortunately there was also a lot of garbage inside...More

This would have been some building in its heyday. Somewhat overgrown now. The rubbish must have been cleared fairly recently, only for another bunch to dump their trash anew. What a shame. Apart from clearing some of the trees away, the building would also benefit...More
