Totally surprised to see signs on the main N2 to wineries in the area - well worth the 5kms of dirt road to find it. An excellent tasting session with the "Ploughman's Platter" - Ploughmen in SA are obviously rated more highly than in the UK! A delicious assortment of fresh, home prepared food that provided a perfect complement to the wines. Small production, but well worth buying. Highly recommended detour.

The food - breakfast and lunch - is innovative and excellent and very different dishes to other wineries in the area. Just a pity that they have run out of their white wine. The bubbles and red is very good.

Love the atmosphere and setting of this little spot. We went when the sun was shining and shared a very special sharing platter with home made goodies which were all delicious. The wine suggestions were great and varied, however, we picked one that we liked and stuck to that. Pity that they do not do functions.

My first visit to Redford Lane Wines was in Dec 2014 at their opening. I was an instant fan!! I haven't been for a couple of months but on Saturday we arrived, table of 12, for a birthday lunch and I was blown away. The place is looking even more incredible...Leanne & Brent have transformed it into one of the most gorgeous, warm and welcoming places in The Crags. The food was beyond delicious and of course their amazing wines and MCC are still my favourite. Well dines guys, can't wait for the next visit already. Great job.

For a totally relaxing visit to a wine estate this was great. Simply delicious plat du jour with lovely home made pâtés and breads, cheeses and cold meats topped up with glasses of their lovely wines. Excellent personal service.

This setting, on a good day, is super. Lovely tasting room, that doubles up as a dining room for the platters. We enjoyed the variety on the platters, but were not overly impressed with the wines offered.

It will be very interesting to see how the Plett wine route develops. What a great addition for things to do in the area! Redford Lane has a lovely welcoming friendly atmosphere, pretty views over a dam and new vineyards for long lazy afternoons. We did the wine tasting and had the ploughmans platter for lunch. Very pleasant! A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an afternoon! However, my only criticism (and this would apply to most of the other wine farms in the area as well) would be that it would be great to see a bit more variety in cheeses and breads types such as ciabatta, sourdough or baguette. Hopefully we will continue to have many enjoyable lunches at Redford Lane and we will be enjoying the MCC until next time!

We, a group of 12, dropped by for wine tasting. The host was very apologetic that they had literally run out of platters, but welcomed us in to taste their wines - which we did and purchased a fair amount too. This establishment has the `right stuff' - unlike a couple of their contemporaries who couldn't even be bothered to sell us a bottle of wine to enjoy whilst visiting their `place'!!!!
Definitely add this to your list, the views from the establishment also compliment the wines.
