Amazing morning kayaking in Plett Bay with Dophin Adventures.
Giovanni was outstanding. Patient ( we are inexperienced kayakers) very knowledgeable and informative. We had an incredible experience sharing the ocean with dolphins and seals for 2 hours and the highlight was observing a huge brydes whale within metres of our kayak. The whole time on the water felt leisurely and great fun. Thank you Giovanni.

We (2adults 2 teenagers) took the sea kayak tour under guidance of Tristan. It was fantastic. We saw so many dolphins, never seen anything like this before. Als a stingray and seals. Tristan told is a lot about the animals and hé is funky too. Thanks!!

Tristan gave my boys (ages 10 and 8) surfing lessons today. They had a great time and learned to surf in one lesson! Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins, but we did saw a few seals playing in the water. Would definitely do it again in dolphin season.

We went out with our Guide for two hours and paddeld right into a flock of dolphins that were around for a long while.
The guide was great and gave us a lot of information on the nature and animals around us.

We were fortunate enough to find dolphins and paddle within a few meters of them. Our guide was excellent, although the Dolphin Adventures place did look close when we first arrived; probably best to book online in advance,
We were given life jackets and tops and the kayak was taken down to the water for us. A lovely few hours our on the water, with great views, Guide was friendly and talkative. Was slightly nervous when he told us we would be turning round, and there was likely to be white sharks around the seal colony still!
Having seen nothing but views on our way out, we were lucky that our guide spotted a pod of dolphins when we were paddling back. We then spent quite a bit of time watching these, along with a mother and calf and managed to paddle with some dolphins as they came back.
A super experience, and felt lucky to have managed to actually paddle so close to the dolphins.

Plettenberg Bay is beautiful and the view and being on the ocean is wonderful, but we have booked kayaking experiences before which were much more enjoyable. Our guide was nice and clearly a good kayaker, but he didn't talk to the group that much. He did however save my hat and paddle when our kayak tipped over at the end so thank you very much for that. The owner appeared not to be very keen on taking any bookings on Easter Sunday and mentioned more than once that ours was the only trip he was prepared to do that day and that he had family waiting for him at home...Very understandable, just maybe not something to mention to paying guests..it did make us feel a bit rushed at the start. Also, when we tried to pay at the end, there was poor signal for the the portable card machine and the transaction failed a few times. My husband and I began to check if we had enough cash between us to cover the full amount or if we should withdraw money, but a couple of times I was told to 'be patient' and that the machine would eventually work. I didn't mind waiting for the machine, but I did find it a bit rude in the way I was told to wait. In hindsight I probably should have said something at the time, but we were having a lovely weekend, so it seemed silly to bring it up in the moment. Perhaps it was just an 'off day' given the other positive Dolphin Adventures'reviews on TripAdvisor, but if I was to give a recommendation to anyone based on the experience we had, I would tell them to skip Kayaking in Plett and do any number of wonderful things along the Garden Route instead and if kayaking is a priority, to perhaps consider doing it in Storms River, Wilderness or even Cape Town if this is where people's journeys are taking them. Such a shame.

Our reason for not taking any other bookings on the day mentioned was based on the incoming bad weather and nothing else. Being a public holiday one of the other clients happen to start a conversation about family and that is how I made mention of mine.
Unfortunately for most business owners relying on Wi-fi you know that sometimes these devices battle to work efficiently with bad signal.
I definitely did repeatedly mention please be patient due to the fact that I realised it was becoming an inconvenience.
It clearly seems to have been an "Off Day" for Dolphin Adventures if you going to rate your trip based on a faulty mobile device and the fact that we are concerned about how it negatively impacts travel time.
Plettenberg bay is beautiful and definitely is a great place to stay and stop over for a paddle with Dolphin Adventures.
