Went to the restaurant at 11h00 this morning 02/01/2022 for breakfast .
We were told that we are too late for breakfast and they cannot bend the
so-called rules . It was all of 6 minutes past 11 .

I live in Plett and will not patronise this rubbish establishment ever again . They
would rather lose business from 3 guests !!!

Typical small town mentality and they can go to hell . Bunch of wankers .

My daughter and I visited twice in 5 days
Sasha has taught the gentleman working there to make the best pizza we have ever eaten. It was a real pleasure to be in the beautiful garden with the addition of the owners’ fathers’ rose collection.
Highly recommended!
Good luck for the season!

Consistently good service and food. Great to have owners close on hand to chat and share ideas. The chef uses fresh salad greens hand picked especially for your order. Lovely settings next to dam, lots of birds and plants in a rustic setting.

We called in to see the market and Art in the Park exhibition on Sunday and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the shop and relaxed atmosphere in the garden with live music playing.

We had pizza with a salad and I was so impressed with the quality of the food I asked a man (who turned out to be the owner) how he made the pizza dough. Well a very enjoyable 30-40mins were spent learning not just about pizza dough, but also the history of “The Global Village” and the surrounding area with a good measure of philosophy thrown in. As we are clearly tourists there was nothing really to gain from the amount of time the owner and staff spent on us, however, we were treated with samples of the slow roasted pork belly (which was delicious) and home made chutneys.

If you have time to chill, enjoy good food ( thin based pizza and fresh organic homegrown salad) and have a bit of craic, with engaging people don’t miss this place. We will be calling in before we leave the area. A really lovely experience , not to be missed

We had visited Global Village by chance in September and had liked it. We decided to go during the height of Christmas week as it was a convenient venue.
It was much busier, but there was adequate parking- very near- a bonus as we had an immobile family member with us.
We were again impressed with the spacious and interesting grounds and decided to sit on an outside table that was protected from the sun by shade-cloth (In the event, this proved to be too thin and we did get somewhat sunburned during our meal) We had a view of a small lake with water lilies. The sound of the Piet–my-Vrou was a bonus as we have not heard him calling in this area before.
One of our party had a smoked salmon salad, another an excellent burger and chips and I enjoyed a Pizza Regina with thin cut pastry and cooked in a wood fired Pizza oven. Our waitress was efficient and attentive and the food was served quickly despite the eatery being quite busy. There was unobtrusive vaguely Oriental music in the background being played by a musician on a guitar, then drums and then a flute. All very relaxing and pleasant. We noticed the coffee bar where there are seats and this looked a good venue for drinks.
No visit would be complete without a stroll around the actual Global Village store- both to see the huge lazy Koi, but also the amazing variety of items on offer. We bought a few items that are out of the usual.
All in all, Global Village is on our favourite list when we are in Plett.

Hidden off the main road, this venue has so much on offer for you to buy. If you've ever run out of ideas for a gift you will definitely find something here. Worthwhile browsing even if you don't buy. Pay them a visit, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

We went as two couples to the Global Village and enjoyed perusing the shops and the stalls. There was no pressure selling which makes a change from other places visited during our trip

Great place to relax, browse the quaint shop, walk in the gardens, get car washed, and grab a bite to eat. Excellent coffee and pizzas - large with thin base - and topped off by fast and friendly service.
