Neighbour Goods Market is the kind of place you wait the whole week to go to. It's only open on Saturdays and not until late at nightt, so better leave some time for it during the day. There are several types of mini restaurants distributed among a large table where people sit to eat French crepes, vietnamise noodles, italian pasta... More

I was interested to visit the Johannesburg Neighbourhood Goods Market after several visits to the Cape Town version. I much preferred it. Not nearly so touristy and not quite so busy but it was definitely buzzing! There is a vast selection of food stalls to choose from, which have foods from all corners of the world. I chose a chicken... More

We have always been a bit reluctant to visit this market because of its location in the middle of bustling JHB...we decided to bite the bullet and have a look...finding parking in the streets around the market is a bit of a lotto and charged the strange amount of R31.50 for 3 hours by some dude with a hand held... I enjoyed this market immensely. I quaffed Luderitz oysters with champagne, sampled a delicious Korean chicken dish, and bought a pair of hand-made shoes and a hand-made soap, as well as a grinder filled with roasted cacao nibs. It was vibey, and it felt safe. My only regret is that I didn't sample the Paella. I could have lingered there... More

Neighbour Goods hosts a variety of food and drink venders that cater to different eating preferences; from sushi to paella to macaroons to gourmet burgers. There's also a vegan vender! The bottom floor is filled with food /drink vendors and the top floor has a bar, clothing vendors and and a small sage for live performers. The music, food, drinks... More

There's a great vibe, from when you enter off the street, climb up the ramp to the ground floor and then relax on the upper deck with a stunning view over Johannesburg city centre. The variety of food is great: stunning pastries, fudges and cakes, taco's and wraps, flatbread, burgers, sushi, paella, oysters, cheeses...The jam jars at the bar on... More

Weekend markets are in style in South Africa at the meoment, everywhere you turn, every neighborhood has one. People seem to want to try something else, taste different food, preferably home made. The great advantage about these markets is the free access and they are mostly suitable for the whole family. Food is made from home by someone like you,... More

Awesome market, offering local food, drink and artisans. Go there hungry, don't expect to rush in and out as there are line. There is snaps can available to pay vendors, but probably best to take cash.

The atmosphere was fantastic, so relaxed. Great place to try different foods, and if you are lucky catch some live music. Gets rather busy so good to get some benches and to sit and enjoy. Keep going back.

This is Jozi's version of the Cape Town Old Biscuit Mill market! They have an amazing selection of food and the vibe is really cool. I would recommend going early if you want to avoid the crowds as it gets very packed inside at around 10:30 - other wise go later for cocktails and cool music!
