Wadi el Gamal - the camel s valley is THE desert excursion to make! Natural preserve, security!, absolutely fascinating views and spots ranging from abandoned roman settlements to ancient goldmines... best 'done' with some local beduins. Avoid the 'hotel arrangements'.

You can get there by air-plane or go-bus. There are 10's of choices for places to stay close to Wadi El-Gemal. You can also seek help from Abu Dabbab Group (search for them on facebook) for organizing full or day trips.
