A river cruise is the best way to see the tombs. We did this as part of a trip with Tomas Cook. Do your research first as the guide we had was not at all knowledgeable.

To lie on a sun lounger on a deck by the river, in the sunshine with this view as the backdrop is a fantastic experience. How these were made boggles the mind. This beautiful mountain site overlooks Dalyan and the river, picturesque and ancient, it’s...More

We stayed opposite this site and felt we had to visit - well worth the trek - would have lked to get closer but they remain special because we were unsuccessful. On a par with Stonehenge and the 'I wonder' question

It was lovely to see how these beautiful tombs were built along the river and viewing them from the river boat.

This is an absolute must visit place in Turkey! You spend time in a nature protected area, the delta of Dalyan/Dalaman. You will for sure see awesome Turtles and feel the powerful energy of past times.

If you are in the area take this boat trip to view the tombs they are beyond belief and spectacular. As per Thomas Cook one of the 7 wonders to cross off your bucket list of historical sites to see.

I was very disappointed by these tombs, which are way in the distance and nowhere near as many as I had expected. You can see them from the town, but going on a boat ride is a better option but still not brilliant. You need...More

You've seen the pictures so no doubt have a good idea what to expect. These tombs are visible from much of Dalyan. You can get a row-boat across to "the other side" for 5tl return but be aware that you can't actually visit the tombs...More

Not sure if the new tourist site is open yet. You can view from Dalyan or from the riverside. Buggy would probably be a no im afraid. Check out on google. Dalyan and Lycian Rock Tombs.
