There are better ruins elsewhere in Turkey. When we visited the mosaics in the "house with mosaics" were covered and a large area was closed for work. However it was good to see a theatre in an unrestored state. I do not recommend a special...More

Olympos is one the most important six Lykian federation cities. Once upon a time, it was a pirate nest. Ruins are not in good condition but still there are interesting structures. Now ruins are by the sea and in the forest. If you stay in...More

The location of these ruins is interesting wedged in between giant cliffs in a narrow valley that runs down to a pebbly beach. Apart from the aqueduct which was most interesting the other ruins were certainly not as good as most Hellenistic ruins we have...More

Very pleasurable trip into the past of the Greek and Roman Civilizations here in Turkey. Paths were well labeled and signage gave great History of the Structures and Region. A Lot of walking but well worth it. . .

We visited this place during a stay in Cirali. We walked along the beach, the ticket hut was actually not in use so this was free for us. Wonderful evocative ruins and well explained on the signs. We spent three hours here. We loved the...More
