Had a great tour of four farms. Learned so much. Was able to interact with a couple of the farmers and saw lettuce harvest. Great guide, great lunch, the tour was well planned!

This tour was much, much more than I expected. The Tour Leader is intimately familiar with farming, not only in the Mat-Su Valley, but with other US and international locales. She is also passionate about food and the protection of food sources and farmlands. Most...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our farm tour, so different to our own farm here in Australia. Margaret was a wonderful hostess and guide, who went the extra mile to give us a day to remember. Thanks Margaret and we highly recommend the tour.

This was my second time taking the AARP Farm Tour (yes, my husband and I signed up again this year). Margaret is a wealth of information and the farms were inspiring.

Very cool tour. Guide shared stores of the old farmers and how they used animals to work the farms. They worked from sun up to sun down, which in the summer it would have been 18 hours a day.
