Large Plaza by the National Theatre and Gold Museum. Dancing fountains, shops, restaurants, great to sit and people watch.

Interesting, very crowded but a great place to people watch, see locals, but lots of pigeons. We visited the National Theatre which was amazing in post-Baroque architecture/decoration, then walked out to the plaza. Walked around, it's one of the places you can say you've been.

There is nothing special about this square. But there is a theater and museum.Watch after your belongings as it is very crowded (downtown) and super busy.

Great shopping area and good place to take in the city sights and feel the vibe of the area. Colorful buildings, musicians, vendors, & policemen walking their beat, etc.

The plaza is just located by the National theatre building. Lots of visitors and pigeons included. Always busy since it’s a place also for the inhabitants.

It has a boulevard which is very easy to walk and is linked to the main places in the center of San Jose. It is always crowded but it is still nice to walk.

One of the central squares in the city. Next to the shopping street. It is a very modern and lively place where a lot of people are meeting and hanging out. One of the must-sees of San Jose!

If you want the plaza for yourself, just- walk early morning when it is practically empty. In the afternoon or on weekends it is all very populated, not even a place to sit down for a moment’s rest. It is an excellent place to watch...More

The name certainly didn’t live up to its name. It is literally beside the National Theatre - perhaps that’s why it got it’s name? Any way apart of a large artificial Christmas tree that was installed by Movistar - not a lot of culture going...More
