This beach is to relax and to enjoy. It is not so crowded like the main beach and still a gay place.

When you arrive at the public beach in Manuel Antonio you have to walk back towards Quepos; when you arrive at the end you will find a gay friendly beach to hang out and enjoy the day. Although it is marketed as the gay beach...More

Not technically a different beach but it is at the opposite end of all the people. So you wont be hounded by constant people selling things. It does still happen once in awhile.

At the end of the main beach, but quieter. You can walk to the main beach, especially when the tide is out. Many of the gay tourists and locals will hang out at this end.

A great beach with tall palms, white sands, and crashing waves. Off the beaten track, this is where the locals go (and the occasional tourist). You can drive right down, park on the beach and tailgate right from your car. Pura vida!

This is a pretty beach with nice white sand. It was good for beginning surfing and body surfing when we were there. There is some shade, but like every beach in Costa Rica, you need to have someone there to watch your stuff. Don't just...More

Fewer people head down to the far end of Playita so it is lovely to not be so crowded - less touristy. Great wave action with the large rock formation and shade can be found. Beautiful here first thing in the morning.

Playita is a great beach if you are looking for surf lessons. Marco gave lessons to two novice adult surfers in our group and they both had a great time. Beautiful relaxed beach away from the crowds with more surf than most in the area.

You're right. It's been taken over by millionaires, with its resort. Sad.
