Not many people here at all, black sand is hot. If you are looking for a quiet deserted beach, this is it. Bring water, snacks there are no stores, kiosks etc anywhere near it. Don't drive to end of the road because there is almost...More

Love this beautiful beach that is less crowded and a bot north of the main beach in Manuel Antonio. A 10 minute walk up the beach or access via four wheel drive vehicle.

Visited this beach thinking it would be nice and somewhat secluded since you have to get to it by crossing a bunch of rocks at middle/low tide at the west end of the main beach. Unfortunately, it has been basically taken over by the hotel/resort...More

I drove a small vehicle. I do not recommend driving down there unless you drive a 4x4 car. It is true that I saw a gay couple, but I did not see this as a gay spot. The beach is nice but its currents are...More

This beach is to relax and to enjoy. It is not so crowded like the main beach and still a gay place.

Not technically a different beach but it is at the opposite end of all the people. So you wont be hounded by constant people selling things. It does still happen once in awhile.

At the end of the main beach, but quieter. You can walk to the main beach, especially when the tide is out. Many of the gay tourists and locals will hang out at this end.

A great beach with tall palms, white sands, and crashing waves. Off the beaten track, this is where the locals go (and the occasional tourist). You can drive right down, park on the beach and tailgate right from your car. Pura vida!

All beaches in Costa Rica are free - public access is a right! If you have to pay it’s a scam!

You're right. It's been taken over by millionaires, with its resort. Sad.
