Right from the get go they're looking to take as much money from you as possible. Don't organise the taxi with the owner before you come here, he sends his daughter and charges you 45 USD which is outrageous considering an uber is 12 USD....More

Consider doing the behind the science tour. Yes it is more expensive but worth every penny Get to see the nursery among other special scenes

Superb little wildlife sanctuary set in the rain forest, not a big place but well worth a visit, (even if it just to see The sloths)
