We walked 650 meters up from Hotel El Bramadero and noted the sign "Administration Cortes(1936-1940)" entering the open metal door. Inside, next to a large museum poster, was a 2005 notice authorizing the building for revitalization of the Cultural and Natural Heritage of the province....More

The old police jail has been designated to become a museum, but to date it's just an abandoned jail, interesting from the perspective of insight to the inmates experiences.....graffiti on the walls.

I guess this building is being renovated. We went to the front just to look at it. The guard just let us walk in and gave us a paper with some of the history of the building. We sort of just wandered around the building....More
