I went to the viewpoint as part of a tour. It initially was hidden from view from fog but it cleared up for beautiful views of the volcano. If you go to Fortuna it’s worth a stop to look at.

We were lucky as the sky was clear and we were able to enjoy beautiful views of the volcano. There are two zones to visit, Peninsula Zone and Volcano Zone. The ticket is USD 15 per foreigner and you receive Nothing in exchange, just a...More

This year was our second time visiting the volcano. My mom and I had visited in November of 2015 and at that time we were able to see the volcano with a bright sunny day it was very clear. On our recent visit the weather...More

You need a tour guide to see this volcano to understand about the eruption and what has happened to the area after the eruption to present day. There are walks you can take, but they can be an hour to 3 hours. Or you can...More

We did the trek. It was a nice hike. The bridges were nice to stop and take in the rainforest. The on-site restaurant was also great. Good food with wonderful views.

Spent 50 usd to enter with no views of the volcano, crappy roads and no hikes of less than 3 miles. Not worth the money or car ride

This is something you need to see when you visit La Fortuna. The vulcano is super beautiful especially when you come closer. Try to get a guide because this will give you the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Vulcano and Costa...More

Wow! This is such a beautiful park! We drove around the other sector first, but the Peninsula Sector is where it's worth spending your time (unless Arenal is in view). The path is so well maintained. The restrooms are very nice and clean. I loved...More
