We drove thru the park. Not a lot of people. Saw a beautiful waterfall. Could have been the Monte Sky Mirador

Ask at Orosi LLlodge for recommendations for a guide. We were able to see monkeys, tapir, loads of birds that we probably would have missed. went on two of the trails--one with steep elevation and one that went by the river.

This quiet park has fantistic birding. We had Giovanni Bello as a guide and he is fantastic, top notch and very nice guy to boot. Not many people there even though it was the weekend. Some of the best birding is along the road but...More

For someone who wants to enjoy good, easy, safe, hiking, Tapantí is the place. Seeing the Reventazón River totally unspoiled is by far the main attraction of the place. We had a zillion boulders to choose for to rest, walk, jump, and climb (the really...More

Being from the Northwest, I expected being closer to the one visible waterfall, and there is truly nothing to see near the hiking trails. Flora are the same as the surrounding valley, and hiking trails in various states of disrepair. A must skip.

I loved Tapanti Park. The walks are great but very challenging. Especially if it's raining. Not much wildlife about but still very beautiful. Worth a visit Cost 12000 Colones for two of us
