Second time to visit this place. Each hike was different biggest the naturalist has his own area of expertise to share. Wonderful snakes, frogs and insects. We even heard the largest owl in Costa Rico, but it remained hidden in the trees.

Very comfortable cabin right in the forest separated from the others by the trees. It felt like we were on our own in the middle of nowhere! Private parking right outside the door was a bonus. The beds are comfortable, and it had the best...More

Even if it rains, you should go on this tour. It's so intimate and informative. The guides all know their stuff inside out and were able to answer pretty much anything we asked. I wish I could have remembered every name they told us, wow!

Great stay for a quite night of sleep if you love nature. The rustic -yet- cool cabins, are settle into the woods. Restaurant has a pretty simple menu, but is tasty. It has bird feeders and beautiful birds. Friendly staff.

Did not think we’d see as many frogs, let alone, other animals. Loved the demo of how strong a leaf cutter ant is! Gerald was a great guide on both trips. Ramon’s ability to drive and still spot wildlife on the sloth tour was impressive!...More

The wildlife refuge is something like a zoo but the spirit is to allow the animals to live as freely as they can. There is lots to see and the signs are helpful in understanding why some of the critters are there.

It was really worth the money. A walk in the park and thanks to the very friendly guide we saw a lot of animals you wouldn’t see if you would go on your own. The guide even made the pictures for us, which resulted in...More

The trails would probably be very difficult in a wheelchair. They are pebbly gravel and some are very steep. I only did the night walk so not sure if there might be something more accessible.
