This is a wonderful place to see all the wildlife of Costa Rica. Not a typical zoo (I don't support those), this is an animal rehabilitation center. Injured wildlife is brought here to heal and when possible are reintroduced to the wild. One of the...More

We don’t usually like zoos but having been recommended to visit by our B&B owner, and having a morning to spare before flying home, we have it a go. We were so pleased we did! For ease of walking round, viewing the animals/birds and educational...More

I know it will be good but it was fantastic! A wide variety of animals and many of them free roaming ( watch out for the free huge iguanas as they sneak up on you). The $20 entrance is definitely worth it. There is also...More

I enjoy visiting the zoo in different places because they aren’t all the same. This one is small but it is beautiful to see the animals and enjoying the day. This is such a family/friends orientated. Please go because it is worth the time !!

We visiter this zoo on our way to the airport and the zoo is well worth visiting. It takes about an hour to see it and you can see many of the animals of Costa Rica. The flora is also beautiful!

I did not see visitors with pets. This is likely because you will see Iguanas walk across the walkways in front of you. There are Peacocks freely walking in the Zoo and Macaws out not in cages.
