It's a small temple. It looks very nice from the outside especially in the night when the lights are on. But if you pay 50RMB to get in, actually it's very small, not much to see. It's a local temple for Shanghainese to pray when...More

We took a walk around the area and thought to visit the temple. When we arrived there we saw that they charge 50 RMB which was a lot in my eyes. The temple is more a tourist spot than a "religious site". If you look...More

When I visited the place, there were not many tourists around. Enough space to roam. Wasn't too expensive

I have visited this temple before when it was undergoing renovation. It was certainly worth revisiting as the wood is so beautiful. It is worth the MBR 50 to go in as you do not need a guide to enjoy the splendor of the temple...More

Jing’an temple is impressive from a distance but it’s worth a visit for RMB50 per person. The interior structure is mostly wood with very thick wooden pillars. The main hall houses a huge Buddha. The complex is a monastery and you can hear monks chanting.

When you enjoy the great Shanghai, sometimes you need to relax and give oxygen to your brain... here you have to go for that and for the nice architecture. Take time to visit all and think or pray. Enjoy this jewel.
