This Proclamation of Independence stunning building is a museum with some historical exhibits and film shows depicting Malaysia’s fight for independence. The nearby grounds were hosting an interesting bodybuilding competition when I visited.

This is a beautifully preserved building which now marks Independence but older residents of the town bemoan that there is little if no mention of its past now after being acquired for the current purpose. It was formerly a club with cricket matches being played...More

This museum is stacked to the rafter with info about the history of Malaysia and its independence from GB But the print is difficult to read and there is fat too much of it. Lost the week to live trying to take it all in

Independence Memorial houses an interesting museum which deals with the history of Malacca and Malaysia from the Sultanate period in the 15th century up to independence in 1957. There are a lot of good displays with English and entrance is free.
