Nice quiet place to take a hike and things to see such as a chapel, school room, etc. There are ducks to feed and a picnic shelter. Chairs to sit by the lake. Very nice place to just enjoy nature and peace.

Went here before school got out and had the whole place to myself. There is an easy trail that loops around the lake that is shaded and goes over a covered bridge. There was a log cabin, a little outdoor chapel, and lots of geese...More

This is pleasant place to visit and hike. And there was a group singing gospel music at the pavilion on Sunday morning.

Easy trail around a mountain top lake. Reproduction log cabin, open air chapel, and a covered bridge are special treats that make the trail lots of fun. My family has been hiking this trail for over 30 years and still love it.

Tracy has made some great suggestions. My only word of advice is that there is some major construction going on right by both of these hotels. There is a Hampton Inn in Hampton Cove which is over Hwy 431 mountain. While... More
