The beach is also known as the Besant Nagar Beach. It is quite clean, beautiful and tourists friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Chennai!

Wow....another beautiful and famous Beach in Chennai. Many local and foreign tourist like to visit and enjoy the waters here. We did not spend much time but we love the it. Just beautiful.

It is old name for Besant nagar Beach now called "Bessi" by youngsters. Elliot's memorial is on this shore.

No. There are no changing rooms around. but there are cafe available nearby where you can use the washroom. But i am not sure if they will allow.

Beach open, 24*7 , But be prepared to carry identification documents with you, as police presence past Midnight is intense, and security checks are mandatory beyond Midnight. Have a nice and pleasant evening

no permission is needed for shooting.for for making short films or videos for professsional purpose i think u need permission
