Mihintale is a wonderful place, you can really understand why someone would go up there to meditate and to pray. It’s a very relaxed place and it has some fantastic views over the gorgeous valleys around.

This is one of the must visit places in Anuradhapura. Recomend to visit in the eving to view the nice sunset. Lots of steps to climb. BUt really nice view on the top. You can view buitiful dagobas and water tanks.

No you won’t be able to cover hose 3 places in one day. You will need at least two days but even that would be very difficult.

I don't know the exact number of stairs but if you drive there with a van or tuk tuk there are some main stairs to climb and then some stair to the three main attractions on top! Should be doable with some fitness! Do mine... More
