For historical reasons, uniquely Serbia, Subotica has more buildings built in Art Nouveau style than any other cities, and these buildings are dominantly influenced by Hungarian Secessionist architects. The City Hall (built in 1908-1910) was built by the same architects, by Marcell Komor and Dezső...More

We were in town for a wedding and visited twice. The rear entrance takes you to the circular staircase that winds its way to the top for a 360 degree view of Subotica...not actually that impressive. The next day, we attended the wedding in the...More

Town Hall of Subotica is the most beautiful example of Art Nouveau architecture. Such amazing exterior and interior details with significant history written on vitrals and other art pieces takes you to past time dimensions. Recommended! A must see!

Subotica is a beautiful city, not enough known to so many travelers, I can only say how impressed I was during our visit and the architectural buildings, especially this one, are outstanding! I recommend a visit of more than one day... so much to see!

This is a piece of art history in the centre of modern city. Unique art style called "secesia". This is a best represent of one art period. Also this is administrative centre of the city and whole region.

Komor and Jakab the two Hungarians were the architects of the City HAll. They could be very proud of their work after so many years. Everybody who comes to Subotica visits the beautiful building. Look after the small details. Amazing!!!

Subotica is a smallish town, but the town hall is worthy of a big city. Unfortunately there is a bit scaffolding on the tower, and I saw no way to do a tour, but it is an impressive sight. The building contains shops on the...More

That was a very beautiful building, in this cool ethnic hungarian city! Unfortunately the souvenir shop was empty and temporary closed, and we could not buy some postcards...
