This museum is within walking distance from the heart of Podgorica City center which is across Karadordev park.

The collection is small but there are some interesting and informative artefacts and displays. There are some impressive literary, military and folkloric exhibits. Regardless of its simplicity, the museum provides a brief introduction to a city with a long and tumultuous history.

This museum has very poor own collections; some folk costumes from different parts of Montenegro, but this time they had a special exhibition with sculptures of Miodrag Scepanovic.
