It was in our itinerary and we did a quick walk around the conversation centre. Maybe after watching orang utans our interest in sun bears was a little low-key. So my opinion is somewhat biased.

Please go. They are doing some wonderful work to help the Sun Bears. The beers are getting great care in humane conditions before being released. Elevated platforms provide great viewing.

Make sure you take time to see the Bears and do the tree top walk overlooking the enclosures. Some interesting information on diplay to read as you wander through the centre.

Your only real chance of seeing these delightful creatures is here at this facility. Not the biggest of sites but you are guaranteed to spot the bears in their enclosures and if you are around at feeding time they are much more active. The staff...More

This Sun bear rehabilitation centre is just a stones throw from the Sepilok Orang Utan rehabilitation centre. You can view the sun bears from the covered boardwalk which is about 5 minutes walk from the entrance rain or shine. There is a small overpriced cafe...More

The elevated walkways make it easy to walk through the large jungle enclosures for the different bears. The bears can sometimes be hard to see if sleeping in a shady area. Friendly young knowledgeable staff are readily available in the different areas to advise the...More
