Visited this area primarily to see the orangutans which are situated next door. The sun bears really were an added bonus and I enjoyed the visit very much. The thing that made this a real hit for me was that Dr Wong, the chap who...More

We loved this place to see the bears living in natural surroundings after having been kept in cages was a real treat. They are hoping to release them eventually, Please visit this place they need support for the work they are doing.

We were lucky to see this on a day where three sunbears were joined by a mother orangutan and her child, two wonderful animals. The staff made sure that we got good photos and explained what the process of rehabilitation was.

After visiting the Orang Utan Sanctuary we popped over for a quick visit. Didn't get any close views of the bears, but that was likely to the loud tour groups who were scrambling round like a herd of stampeding cattle. Got a great and close...More

Just opposite the Orangutan reserve, the sun bears center is located in a lovely rain forest area. It hosts a few sun bears in a clustered area, the whole tour can take 10-15 mins. I found very bizarre that the centre is funded and financed...More

Worth popping in here whilst the orangutang sanctuary is closed between feedings. The bears can be difficult to spot but are fed at about 1:45 so that is a good time to see them. You may even get lucky and see some orangutans here too!

We visited the sun bear rehabilitation centre between the two feedings at the orangutans rehabilitation centre across the road. The centre is carrying out good work rescuing bears being kept as pets or for sale. The enclosures are not as large as they could be...More

We visited after going to the orangutan sanctuary and found we actually liked the sun bear Center more! We saw two wild orangutans, a family of maqaque monkeys, and two sun bears! We loved it! Although it does get a little crowded, it was much...More

Seeing these bears in the natural habitat and finding out how they are re-habilated is just amazing. Some sad stories about them but I thank every member of staff there for helping the bears! One must get something in the gift shop as all the...More

The guides around the sanctuary are very knowledgeable and I would recommend talking to them for more info about the bears. The bears are viewed from an elevated walkway. You will probably only spend around an hour here as the walkway is not particularly long...More
