Seeing both the White and Black Rhino varieties was well worth the short stay at Lake Nakuru National Park. Both of these Rhinos are endangered and a joy to see them thriving in a protected environment. Bravo KWS for your efforts!!

On the bright side, it's a beautiful park with lots of vegetation, beautiful lake with some nice wildlife. Lots of baboons, couple Rhionos, one lion. But in my case, as others mentioned, if you come here after visiting parks in Southern Kenya (in my case...More

Thought my wife and I would have a day here but wished we hadn’t. It certainly doesn’t help that we had just come back from Amboseli and although both are national parks that is where the similarity ends(except the same price). Really, don’t waste your...More

We had one day here. I will say if you also have planed to go to Masai Mara, you have to go here first. Or else you maybe get a little disappointed. I am very happy that we went here. We saw a lot of...More

Stayed for a couple of nights which was more than enough. Highlight was the black and white rhinos and we were lucky to walk with one of the ranges to the edge of the lake to see flamingos at close range. We saw lots of...More

Our safari included a 2 year old and adults as we drove our way through the park. Animals were abundant including mom lioness and 3 cubs right outside our window. You will see large and small wildlife as you drive around the lake. The views...More

I learnt a few months later that all the rhinos that i saw at the Park are dead. That was so sad. I had captured a moment on video when one rhino charged at us!

About 3 hour drive from Nairobi if you leave central hotels by 0600. When you arrive at one of the park entrances need to pay entrance fee of around USD60. Note only credit card payments accepted and you need your passport to verify credit card...More

The wildlife we saw around the lake, within the National Park was abundant, with wart hogs, impala, water bucks, zebra, buffalo, monkeys and baboons spotted numerous times. The bird life showed many species large and small, especially the flamingo. Our highlights were spotting a black...More

When we were there the Flamingoes had flown to Lake Baringo. You can ask the locals or hotel you are staying at and they may tell you where they are.
