You can have the best views of lake Nakuru National park while here, please take care of your belongings and always keep your vehicles closed to keep off the crazy baboons.

Having heard of hyrax hill I took the opportunity to visit the site. Small museum with helpful guide, includes large collection of living tortoises. Trails lead to the dig sites where artefacts found relating to early man. Very wet in rainy season!

Hyrax Hill is easy to reach from Lake Nakuru and worth a short visit. You won't see much of the archeological remains, but a well-meaning guide will show you where the digs were conducted and give you a general impression of the context and surroundings.
