I have just got back from a fantastic 9 day trip in Uganda put together by Achieve Global Safaris. This included viewing gorillas, chimpanzees, wildlife in queen Elizabeth national park and golden monkeys. I trekked the golden monkeys on my last morning in Uganda. It...More

Even if you have already see Gorillas elsewhere the park is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful scenery and you can see the rare Golden Monkeys who only live in this area.

Very nice park to hike in the volcano region between Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo. They have a group of habituated golden monkeys and gorillas. We did the gorge trail and it was very beautiful. However in the wet season the path can be quite slippery.

Where to start? Firstly the Golden Monkeys are a must see. Located in the bamboo forests, the climb is not too strenuous and the number of people will be smaller than elsewhere. There is also a family of gorillas with 5 silver backs. As they...More

Decided to climb this mountain before the popular mount sabinyo and it was the right decision. It was only my friend and I with a female guide Julliet. She was amazing, chatty, informative and motivating which allowed us to climb the mountain swiftly and safely....More

Once I met up with my park guide and accompanying trail guards it was off to see the mountain gorillas by myself. This was a rare opportunity and based on the gorilla group location, we had a steep trek and cut through dense volcano sloped...More
