Nice for a quick stop. Nicely kept with a well presented tour. This was part of a Shore Excursion from Princess Cruises to give an overview of the island. Not many butterflies in the enclosure. Be careful of uneven pathways if you have problems with balance or trouble walking.

This was part of a multi stop cruise tour and was basically ok. Learned a bit about butterflies but not that exciting. Some decent colored butterflies could be seen. I actually enjoyed the other animals on the premises more

Amazing little creatures, start off so ugly but the finish results are gods gift to humans. Beautiful colors and so delicate

We were on a cruise ship and had booked the custom trip around the island that can be booked via TA. This was our last stop before returning to the ship. It was only just outside Coxen Hole, but up some very steep roads. We went only to see the butterflies, they do have other animals, as other people have mentioned in their reviews. We had a guide to explain the different stages in the life of a butterfly and were shown into the enclosure where we saw lots of different kinds of butterflies and some incredible hummingbirds. This for us was a great choice, we really enjoyed the visit. The entry fee is not very much there are a number of various animals to see and hold, this would be a particularly good place to go if you had kids with you.

This was a stop on a private island tour and though it wasnt as big as we thought it would be and our guide could have been better, it was still a must see if your on the island. Most of the animals are actually free to roam and are protected by the sanctuary!

I’d recommend this excursion based on being able to see the local inhabitants and take some of the local area in.
The monkeys aren’t local to this area and have been introduced but you can hold them and my daughter loved that experience.

This tour took our cruise passengers a short ride away to the gardens, where Michael and Carol “sunshine” explained how Honduras had been discovered around 1500 by Christopher Columbus. We got to meet Scarlet McCaws, very friendly and willing to be photographed with visitors. An array of island monkeys, and a cultural show by the Garafu Indians. So very enjoyable, on the water, with food and beverages available for purchase. I enjoyed our guides very much and found this destination to be a great value for the admission price. Tips are appreciated and well deserved.

Not a large place, but seeing the butterflies, monkeys, and macaws was fun, and having a monkey sit on my shoulder was great! The nature walk is pretty short, but the long bridge has a nice view.

Keith our guide took us to the gardens. Thank you. This was the best $10.00 we ever spent on a tour. The guide was very informative, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. From Owl butterflies to Monarchs, he explained how they all progresssed from birth to adulthood. The rest of the tour was equally as interesting as we saw many different birds and monkeys . Don't miss going. You will not be disappointed.

If you like butterflies, this is a nice stop. They have monkeys and macaws as well as the butterfly enclosure. It was small, but very pleasant. You can hold the monkeys. We got a lot of great pictures of butterflies. We did this as one of multiple stops around the island. We were there less than an hour.
