When you disembark from your ship you will be immediately entering a very well kept shopping center which was set up for tourists wanting to buy all sorts of "treasures" to haul home. We attempted to exit the gates to see some of the city...More

I was here on a cruise stop. I would recommend you sign up for an excursion if you only have a day in port. There is not a lot to see or do so this way you can see more of the island and experience...More

Seems like this port can only accommodate 1 cruise ship. And since the other cruise ship(Royal Caribbean) was bigger they get to dock while NCL has to tender its passengers. We were on the NCL. The tender ride was about 10 minutes long. The port...More

This port was unimpressive. It didn’t have many stores. One of them sold towels. Why would I want to buy towels at a cruise port? It was small and cut off from the rest of the city. Plan an excursion when going to Coxen Hole.

Qualifies as a visit to Honduras, if you're adding notches to your travel belt. Taxis on pier will drive you around Island for a fourth of Ship excursion cost. Same tours available on same vans at a much lower price on shore. People were friendly...More

I planned to tour on my own until I saw the huge sign next to the guarded gates! Inside the port the locals were pretty aggressive trying to get us to book tours. I was going to take one until they informed me of the...More

Visited here when on a cruise. We were able to walk off the ship and visit the town and beach which was so pretty. Music being played by local people. Some lovely gardens to walk through to the beach. Well worth getting off the ship...More

While there was a usual offering of souvenir shops in the cruise terminal area, once you ventured out it was a busy working port. Lots of tour companies offering trips and we got a great deal for only 20 US dollars each for 4 hours...More

It was alright. Definetly store and leave all your valuables on the cruise ship. So when you enter the port Town center there will be a lot of taxi drivers asking you if you want a ride around the island. Proceed with caution. There is...More
