Getting here was not the easiest experience, as all the roads were in terrible condition. This 'bird park' is high up, commanding views of the surrounding countryside. This seems fitting, given that most of the birds are raptors, usually seen flying at great heights. We...More

This park located on the outskirts of Otavalo is used as a clinic and rehabilitation center for birds. You can see hawks, eagles and owls in abundance. There are bird shows at 11:30 and 15:30 where you can see birds flying freely right above your...More

On one of our excursions we visited this place. In spite of not being an initiative of the local inhabitants and being a European initiative. We found the initiative and the results they seek to obtain very interesting. We hope you are very lucky

A short taxi ride from town. Knowing a little Spanish is beneficial, the staff is friendly. The show is great. Get to see all the birds up close at a fantastic view point. Can really tell the staff cares about the birds.

Ok, I don't like caged birds, but here there is whole another story behind. The place serves as a sanctuary for birds. And to earn some extra money they do bird shows explaining about there magnificie,nt animals. I really like it.

On tour in the neighbourhood of Otavalo we visited this park. The cages are very clean, many information, we enjoyed a show and demonstration with some birds of prey. Worth a visit when in this area.

The experience was okay, entrance fee is almost 5 dollars. The flight show (the so called highlight of the whole park) was quite good I guess. They showed 4 different birds I think, but they were just circling once and brought back to their cages....More

The flight demonstration was fascinating. We also enjoyed walking around and seeing the exhibits. They called a cab for us and we only waited about 10 minutes. The birds are all rescue birds.

We negotiated a taxi (US$7) from the Otavalo bus terminal to Parque Condor. Keep our camera ready as there are some great views of Otavalo as you climb out of the city on rough roads to the park. On the map it isn't that far...More

You should have a drive who has been there before. It is not easy to navigate.
