This was almost humorous, but interesting nonetheless. We walked over the large medallion by accident as we were scoping out restaurants for brunch. From the reading of the inscription in the sidewalk (yes, it's just a large circle in the cement with a cursory description)...More

Do you know the three things that had to be invented or discovered in order to construct buildings taller than about 5 stories? All 3 came about around the early 1900s, resulting in a corner of Birmingham's first skyscrapers that have preserved a taste of...More

I've driven through this intersection several times but only now read about it on Trip Advisor. Really? As the other reviewers state, there may have been four banks here in the past, but it's not anything spectacular to see today.

Just a bucket list stop nothing really big of a deal not that too exciting. It's worth a stop if you need to get gas so trying to catch some food somewhere around there

Nothing there. Boring. Just a bunch of old buildings that are not even that impressive. Skip this unless you just happen to be walking by.

Because of an interest in the old Birmingham banks, we gravitated to this area of Birmingham to view the former First National Bank of Birmingham, American-Traders National Bank of Birmingham, and other historic financial buildings. The area is a bit run-down, although a number of...More

To be down town amongst these huge pieces of architectural triumphs is a great feeling. You look up and you feel like the size of an ant. This is really a marvel to look up and just imagine all the hard work to build this...More
