Learned more about Tuskegee airman then any other museums we have traveled to. Nice exhibition on the North Korea who brought the MiG 15 to the Americans. Never had heard the entire story. Nice collection of planes. Have many different flight simulators to test out.

This museum is divided in several sections general aviation, CAP, Alabama hall of fame and military. Also off site two blocks are more airplanes stored exposed to the elements. The exhibits were well documented. It takes about two hours to do a tour.

Check BirminghamGroupon. We had a party of 8 and was able to get 8 tickets @ $28.00. It averaged out to $3.50 a ticket. Groupon offered a discount on top of that. So for 8 admission around $25.00 which was a good deal.

That exhibit is the Korean War Jets exhibit. The defecting pilot was Lt. No Kum Sok, know as Ken Rowe when he became an American citizen. Ken is 85 years old now. I talk with him several times a year.
