The church is easily accessible at the center. It is certainly worth a quick visit. It is supposed to be the second oldest church in Chile. As most of the other buildings, it was constructed from adobe. The altar, statues and decoration are characteristic for...More

Easily accessible in the middle of town, this is a simple and small church which is worth a quick visit to see (what we were told was) a fairly typical Catholic Church for the area.

This lovely little church is located right in the village so you can easily walk in. It is always interesting to learn the story behind a church and see the uniqueness of the design.

Worth a visit if you're in town. Some historical information in English. Cool interior and worth a small donation.

The wooden ceiling so typical of Northern Chile and Argentina is certainly worth a visit, but the real jewel is Chile's oldest Church in Chiu-Chiu (San Francisco) built in 1540.

It’s not your usual Catholic Church. However what you find here is a rustic adobe building with lovely cactus wood ceilings, bound by leather. There may not be a stained glass window but you get a feeling that this is one of the most loved...More

For a Catholic church, this place is crudely constructed and relatively unadorned. However, the altarpiece is huge with clothed figures from the scriptures contained in glass a cabinet. In a town busting with backpackers and tourists, this church is a place of peace and serenity

The church is beautiful. Some parts are made of cactus (Cardones) wood. We loved it. Many photos. The place is very cool. Everybody in San Pedro de Atacama has to take a photo over there!

Hi, sorry I don't know but they do have a Facebook page Church-of-San-Pedro-de-Atacama which should be easy enough to find. I hope that is of some help.
