it was in the middle of the vast lake full of wild twines.I was so amazed to see it. it was floating on water.It does now have anything supporting it but only some sea weeds and manure and some bamboo canes. this is awesome you...More

Interesting to see as you cruise by in a boat. Not really worth a stop unless you are a dyed-in-the-wool horticulturalist.

The locals make great use of the lake - from their famous 'leg rowers' to artisans making jewelry, clothes, boats - and vegetable gardens!

One could never imagine that agriculture can be done this way! The farmers make use of the shallow area of the Inle Lake by piling up soil from the Lake to make land for cultivation. Clever; and what a unique scene.

We spent 10 min as part of our tour. Is is great to learn how they made this happen. However, the best view must be from the air but it is not possible to use drones... Maybe building a view point could be a good...More

What a magical place. We spent several days floating around this area watching how people live and work and understanding how they are trying to sustain and improve their unique way of life.
