This beach is the most typical village with traditional food, not too many people (except july, december, january). Friendly fishermen will sell you good food for a reasonable price. Besides it's a remaining ex-slave community. So tourism helps their development.
If you don't like crowded beaches, as Praia Grande (where you barely can walk without bumping someone our something), this is a place you must visit. From Cacandoca you can go walking to Cacandoquinha, through a short trail into the woods and up the mountain...More
